How To Fold Napkins Into Beautiful Bows

Coming to you this week with a little napkin hack! If you have been looking for a sign to learn how to fold your napkins a little differently the year, this is it! I have created all sorts of folds, knots, scrunches and shapes with napkins over the years. Been there, done it all. And that's why I am so excited to show you a little hack - how to fold your napkins into beautiful bows. We had friends come over for lunch a few weeks ago and I wanted to make bows out of our napkins. I tried everything - string, ribbon, knotting, folding and tying. But when I remembered I had a set of pastel pink napkin rings I picked up at a charity shop (like two years ago) for $1, I wondered if they would work. It did, and I was like, whoah. It's super easy, super quick and all you need are some napkins and napkin rings. Read on to find out how to fold your napkins into gorgeous, beautiful bows that'll make your table settings sing with joy. And make sure you watch this little instructional video here too if you need to look at how to fold the bows a little closer. Ok, let's get started!

You need

How To

Fold your napkin in half so it's in the shape of a triangle.

Fold the tip of the triangle down by about 3/4.

Bring the bottom of the napkin up and fold it over the triangle fold about 1/3 up.

And fold the napkin up and over again.

Fold the right tip/end down.

Fold the left tip/end straight across and over horizontally.

Pinch the napkin folds on the right and thread a napkin ring up and over until it's in the middle.

Pull the ends down while holding the sides of the bow.

Flip the napkin over and adjust to finesse the beautiful bow!

Ta daaaa! This is such a simple yet beautiful way to fold napkins on any tablescape.

I love how cute these napkin bows look. They are quick and easy to fold, and in my humble opinion, they don't need to be perfect. I found it easier to iron my linen napkins before folding them, and pressing down along the lines also helped. I haven't tried this yet on a rectangle napkin but I think it would be doable for sure! Can't wait to see the bows you create with your napkins! Remember to tag me over on Instagram as I love seeing your creations.
