My Studio Refresh
From roadside relic to stunning statement piece
My studio has been looking very chaotic lately, so I decided to create a calm, minimalist space. Truthfully, I’ve been pushing a couple of tasks down my To Do list - there’s a hole in the ceiling and I’m embarrassed to admit I used regular interior wall paint on the ceiling above my DIY Arched Shelves. Thankfully, I’ve learned a lot since then, and it was time to finally refresh the ceiling using Dulux Ceiling White, which helps to bounce light around the room, making it brighter.
I was so excited to bring the studio ceiling back to a fresh, bright white that I couldn’t help but add a couple of other touches. I got rid of the clutter and created a statement library filled with magazines and books. I added a rug to define the space, repurposed two cardboard cylinders to make a much bigger desk, and painted a thrifted art canvas. My studio now feels fresh, bright and elevated with bold pops of colour.
